Brayman Construction is Hiring an Asset Manager Near Cleveland, OH

Brayman Construction Corporation in Saxonburg, PA is looking to hire a full-time Asset Manager to manage our company's diverse fleet of construction equipment, from acquisition to disposal. The schedule for this position is typically Monday - Friday, some flexibility is required.

SUMMARY OF ASSET MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibilities encompass financial, operational, and strategic aspects to ensure that the company's assets, including heavy construction equipment such as cranes, yellow iron, and drill rigs, are effectively managed and contribute to the organization's success. Assets also include property, buildings, and machinery.
  • Work to control costs related to asset management. Find ways to reduce operational expenses, optimize asset utilization, and minimize downtime of construction equipment.
  • Contribute to the company's strategic planning by providing insights into the long-term asset needs of the organization, particularly in terms of construction equipment. Help determine when to invest in new assets and when to divest underperforming ones.
  • Responsible for assessing the depreciation of assets over time, particularly construction equipment. Understand the financial impact of asset depreciation on the company's balance sheet and financial statements.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulations and standards related to asset management, safety, and environmental considerations, particularly concerning construction equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSET MANAGER

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related discipline is preferred but not required
  • Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Experience in managing heavy equipment, particularly construction equipment
  • Strong financial and equipment industry knowledge
  • Development of Key Performance Indicators

    SAFETY

    This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
